Frome artist and maker Laura Holden is best known for creating weird and wonderful homewares – from unicorn hobby horses, to giant fruit-shaped cushions – using an eclectic array of vintage fabrics. In this workshop, Laura will show you how to appliqué using fabrics and felt to create a pennant to take home and hang on your wall.

Night School is a series of evening taster classes taking place at The Old Church School in Frome.
If, like us, you are inspired by the talents and craft of The Frome Independent’s traders, this is an opportunity for you to get creative and try your hand at learning a new skill under their expert guidance.
We’ve put together a selection of designers, makers, craftspeople and food producers to share their skills with you and offer hands-on experiences in a supportive and social atmosphere. All abilities are welcome.
Places are limited to ensure participants gain intensive support and knowledge from workshop leaders, so book early!
