First ever Night School Supper Club is a tasty success

A good time was had by all at our first ever Night School Supper Club with Wild & Fermented, in collaboration with the lovely team from the Black Swan Cafe. Katie Venner from Tracebridge Sourdough & Fermenteria and Helen Kearney fromElder Farm devised an incredible menu of fermented and foraged foods. We were treated to such delights as pickled samphire with quails eggs, cauliflower soup with capers and fennel sauerkraut, wild mushrooms with polenta, crisps sage and wood sorrel, bramble jellies and rosehip syrups. Along with supper there were talks on fermenting, foraging and the benefits of eating wild and fermented foods.

Huge thanks for Katie and Helen, and to Karina and her Black Swan Cafe team. Watch this space for more Night School Supper Clubs in 2019…
