Cancellation of The Frome Independent due to Coronavirus (Covid-19)

It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel The Frome Independent on Sunday 5th April. While there is not currently an official ban in place for events like The Frome Independent, the health and safety of our community of visitors, crew, traders and fellow residents of Frome is paramount.

We are acutely aware of our how the social distancing measures will affect both us and the many other businesses we support. We are currently working hard behind the scenes to establish how we can continue as an organisation while our markets are not able to run.

These are unprecedented times and reveal actually how interdependent we all are. Small independent businesses and sole traders need their loyal customers now more than ever. Keep an eye on The Frome Independent on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as we’ll be continuing to post about the many brilliant makers, producers, traders and retailers that make up The Frome Independent community. You could also support us by signing up to our Market Maker scheme here which will get you loads of great offers from our traders and Frome’s independent shops.

We’d like to wish you and your loved ones all the very best of health during this strange time. The Frome Independent is built on its community of colleagues, traders and supporters, and we are determined to play our part to hold that community together in this time of uncertainty.
