CHRISTMAS ALL WRAPPED UP WITH THE FROME INDEPENDENT
Sunday 3rd December is the last The Frome Independent market of the year and the perfect chance to get your Christmas shopping in the bag. Between 10am and 3pm Frome town centre will be full of incredible local designer makers and producers. Shop for perfect gifts and special stocking fillers directly from small independent businesses. You’ll find an amazing selection of jewellery, ceramics, homewares and fragrance, apparel, skincare, accessories and original artwork.
There’s always a lovely festive feel to the December market, with choirs, mulled cider and wine, Christmas trees and wreaths. Make a day of it and treat yourself to lunch with the best streed food in the south west. Choose from warming curries, dumplings, burgers or noodles, burritos, toasties and wraps.
Stock up on seasonal treats from our food and drink producers and the Somerset Farmers Market. Create an individual gift bag for the food lover in your life with salsa, hot chocolate, dressings, pickles and spice mixes. You’ll find local gin, cider brandy, liqueurs, wine and of course delicious Somerset cider to add sparkle to your celebrations.

Christmas Trees
This year, Victoria Park Cafe are selling beautiful Nordman Fir trees, ethically sourced, locally grown, very freshly cut and waiting for you to decorate, all while supporting vital fundraising efforts happening in our community. Order directly from them here now and choose between picking your tree up at Victoria Park Cafe or from the Village Green, by Frome Library on market day.
December’s Charity – Fair Frome
For the busiest market of the year we’re pleased to welcome Fair Frome and the Frome Christmas Get-Together who will be collecting cash donations throughout the day. Market goers always give generously to the Christmas collection and support the vitally important work of this amazing charity.
Money raised will help to support the growing demand on the Food Bank, the Fair Frome Community Pantry and Fair Frome’s Food at 5 Community Hot Meals. The money for the Frome Christmas Get-Together will be used to provide refreshments and entertainment on Christmas Day where guests are served a Christmas Meal and given a festive bag to take home. Please look out for the volunteer collectors on the day or alternatively donate to support the work of Fair Frome via their website here.

The first shuttle bus is at 10am, the last bus leaves from the town centre at 3.45pm.
If possible please consider the 10-15 minute walk from the Park & Ride into the market to keep congestion on board the buses to a minimum.
