Flower Crowns Maypoles and Morris Dancers on Sunday 5th May
Spring is here! We are teaming up with Garden Day to welcome in the season with some weird and wonderful rural traditions on Sunday 5th May
Come and make yourself a flower crown with our friends from Garden Day UK, watch maypole dancing from students at Oakfield School, and encounter Boss Morris – an all-female West Country Morris Dancing side who have performed at events all over the UK.
Following the popularity of last year’s flower crown extravaganza, Garden Day UK will be returning to lead another fresh flower crown workshop, which will run between 10am and 2pm, down at the pop-up Village Green, next to Frome Library.
If you’d like to take part, please register at www.gardenday.co.uk/events to book your FREE spot. Booking is essential as this workshop was extremely popular last year!
In addition to all the floral, May Day fun, you can expect the usual talented array of designers, makers and craftspeople, food producers, farmers and vintage traders lining the streets from St Catherines all the way down through the centre of town to the Market Yard carpark. There will be live music throughout the day on the Market Place stage, DJing from the Vintage Mobile Disco team, children’s activities, mouth-watering street food and all-round good vibes.
