full of the joys

We’ve spring in our step for this month’s market. Join us in Frome town centre on Sunday 2nd April from 10am to 3pm. As ever we’ll be bringing you the best local producers, craftspeople, designers, artists and vintage traders. Stock up on Easter treats, find that perfect gift or treat yourself to some delicious street food. Soak up the atmosphere with a great line- up of live music from our Music Stage:

11-11.30  Belle Street  A lively vocal duo bursting with energy and wit, ready to entertain any crowd intimate or large with clever covers and parodies of popular songs ranging from 20’s to modern day.

11.45-12.15  Jude Dylan Performing a variety of originals and covers, ranging from Arctic Monkeys to Simon & Garfunkel to The Beatles.

12.30-1.15 Hello Hopeville An Americana, Country/ Blues band

1.30-2.15 Three Corners funky soulful jazz-tinged semi acoustic original songs performed by local legends

2.30-3.00 Ginger Sun A funky spin on popular songs from Maroon 5, Tom Petty, White Stripes to Peggy Lee

We have lots going on round by the library around our Village Green this month. Commission a quick and unique illustrated portrait from our guest artist, Daisy Webb, or try your hand at one of our juggling workshops with Life Juggling. Frome Town FC will be joining us so you can chat to them about what’s new at Badger’s Hill. We’ll also be welcoming Lisa’s Army, set up to offer support and positive experiences for people living with cancer. They’ll be easy to find alongside the big red fire engine from Devon and Somerset’s Fire and Rescue Service who will be with us for the day.

Throughout the year The Frome Independent supports local charities, offering opportunities to fundraise and increase awareness of their cause. This time we are delighted to partner with Bath Cats and Dogs Home, our local rehoming centre that rescues around 800 animals a year. Look out for their collectors throughout the market and please give generously if you can.

If you’re coming from out of town, please check out the VISIT page on
thefromeindependent.org.uk/visit for all the information that you’ll need for getting to the market.

If you do need to bring your car please use our Park & Ride service rather than parking in residential streets, as this causes obstructions for residents. We’re also really pleased the D2 bus service is now running hourly on Sundays on its normal route, stopping in the town centre just by Cork St car park on market days.

See you on Sunday 2 April, 10am – 3pm, in Frome!
