MARCH MARKET CANCELLED

We are very sorry to announce that unfortunately, due to the adverse weather conditions, we must cancel The Frome Independent on Sunday 4th March.

We have consulted with the Met Office and have been advised that conditions on Sunday morning could mean that travelling to the market, and around Frome itself, could pose a significant risk of injury due to predicted sleet, freezing rain and poor visibility on roads due to fog.

Although there is a chance that the snow will thaw by Sunday, the Met Office have not been able to tell us with certainty that conditions will be safe enough to go ahead.

We have taken this decision with a very heavy heart and know that this will be very disappointing news but ultimately the safety of our staff, traders and visitors is paramount. Unfortunately the weather is the one element of running the event that we simply cannot control.
