MARKET NEWS-A New Way to Pay on Market Days

If you’re not keen on squandering good shopping time queueing for cash at The Frome Independent, then you might be interested to know about our partnership with Pixie – a brand new discovery, payment and loyalty app. 

Pixie has been developed by a local team who are passionate about creative, independent business in the South West and encourages customers to spend more of their money with independents. They have piloted the app in Bath over the past 5 months and now have a growing community of independent businesses and customers in the city.

The app allows you to discover independent businesses as well pay for goods and services but, most importantly, you also earn loyalty points as you shop, just as you would through well-known big brand loyalty card schemes. The key difference however, is that points earned by shopping in one independent shop can be spent in any other participating independent business here in Frome or Bath.

You can check out Pixie’s website and download the app for free here. The Pixie team will be hosting an event for businesses at 6pm on Thursday 21st September at The Old Church School in Frome.
