Mother Christmas Swing Dancing and Fair Frome at our final market of 2018
That time of year is nearly upon us, and with it comes our final market of 2018!
We would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who has traded, shopped and taken part in markets this year – come join us for one last hoorah on Sunday 2nd December!
CHRISTMAS CHEER
As always, this December we are working with Fair Frome to help raise money for Frome’s Big Christmas Get-Together. We are very excited to have Frome based theatre company Rare Species back with us for the day, who will be bringing with them some very special, never-before-seen characters. Come and visit Mother Christmas and her attendant in their festive grotto outside Frome Library, where they will be handing out a fair bit of Christmas cheer and a few toys too. Mother Christmas will be joined by choirs and collectors across the market, all raising money for Fair Frome, and Frome’s Big Christmas Get Together – an annual community lunch for anyone who doesn’t want to be alone on Christmas day.
For those of you looking for something a little more energetic, we’ll have Swing Time Frome back with us for some vintage dances as they lead a short class and demonstration on the Village Green.
Also down at the Village Green area, students from Frome College will help you make festive decorations using science, and there’ll be festive family art fun from Doodlebugs.
Expect a quality line up of DJs throughout the day from Vintage Mobile Disco team, plus live music from some fantastic local bands on the Market Place Stage. For more festive merriment, look our for Frome Community Choir and Songbirds who will be singing carols and Christmas favourites at various times and locations throughout the day.
