Night school returns for 2019
We are very excited to announce the return of NIGHT SCHOOL, our series of evening evening sessions that offer the opportunity to learn a new skill under the expert guidance of one of The Frome Independent’s traders, whilst creating something rather lovely to take home with you.
This summer and autumn you can try your hand at everything from foraging to knitting to food fermentation.
Classes are suitable for all and offer a chance to learn a new skill and make something lovely in a relaxed environment, with all Night School classes now held at Black Swan Arts Swan Arts, where you’ll be able to enjoy a tasty supper from The Black Swan Cafe whilst your class leader introduces the evening’s activities – hooray!
The programme kicks off on Wednesday 19th June with a floral headdress workshop with Lizzie Iafrate – the amazing creative talent behind Fizz Goes Pop! Lizzie will guide you through the process of creating your own unique headband using beautiful fabric flowers that look just like the real thing. Your one of a kind piece will be ready to wear just in time for the festival and wedding season!
We also have some very special dining events up our sleeves too! The first one of these is a Japanese Supper Club with Hideki Koike from Kinori, our resident Japanese street food expert! Join us on Thursday 13th June for four courses of Japanese delights, inspired by Hide’s homeland and made with seasonal Somerset ingredients. Watch this space for more supper club dates coming soon too!
If you’d like to book on to any of our Night School classes, drop us a line on admin@thefromeindependent.org.uk to secure your place. Spaces are strictly limited so please be sure to book soon to avoid disappointment!
