The Little Victory Ball at The Frome Independent

It is 100 years since some women in England were given the vote. To celebrate these beginnings of women’s equality, visitors can travel back to 1912 with the Little Victory Ball’s Lady Violet and Mrs Potts at our November market. Lady Violet is an enthusiastic young suffragette, and Mrs Potts her long-suffering housekeeper and chaperone. Together they’ll bring their campaign for votes for women, and will have Lady Violet’s cast-offs for anyone who wishes to dress appropriately to join their plight.

The Little Victory Ball CIC create immersive historical theatre performances in Frome and beyond. Look out for Lady Violet and Mrs Potts outside Frome Library and throughout the market on Sunday 4th November.
