Complimented by Somerset Farmers’ Market we host more than eighty hot and cold food and drink producers each month, offering a huge range of fresh and cured meats, fish, seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan breads and cakes, locally brewed beers and ciders and a plethora of regional cheeses. Many of our food traders are experts in their fields and operate postal and local delivery services.

Root Connections Community Garden

A Market Garden with a difference, Root Connections grow fruit, vegetables and flowers and makes preserves, whilst providing a home, support and horticultural activity for homeless people in Mendip. We welcome volunteers and are open to the general public for onsite sales on Tuesdays and Fridays, 10am-1pm.

South Sun Biltong

Biltong is a traditional South African treat, using fresh cuts of beef which are cured in spices and then hung in an air drying cabinet for two weeks. This creates a delicious and versatile product which can be used as a snack or garnished on top of your favourite foods. We use Somerset Beef and natural herbs & spices and no artificial additives.

The Great Cake Company

The Great Cake Company was established in 2005 with the aim to provide a range of delicious, gluten-free cakes and snacks for sale across coffee shops, food emporiums, shops, venues, farmers markets, events and festivals in the South West. I first learnt to cook in my father’s restaurant in Australia, but on my travels in Europe I picked up a small job in Biarritz in a small bakery. They said I had a natural ability for pastry, so the rest is history! I make a range of sweet tarts including custard, bakewell, citron, frangipane and fruit pies.
