Tell us a bit about you and your business!
We are a small family business bringing authentic home made Middle Eastern and North African desserts to our local community in Somerset.
Where do you get your inspiration – what motivates you to do what you do?
My mother and I are motivated by the happiness our desserts bring to our local community. It’s incredibly satisfying to share the unique tasting experience of our traditional authentic desserts, especially with our repeat customers!! We also love getting to know our customers, who each come with their own stories and experiences with our culture. We love the positive energy our customers bring to our stall!
Why did you choose to come and trade at The Frome Independent?
The Frome Independent is buzzing with a diverse mix of people from all walks of life, with amazing talents and products to share. It’s an amazing atmosphere and the perfect platform to share our traditional heart warming desserts in the heart of Somerset.
What do you like most about market trading?
Getting to know our customer base and sharing stories. We also love seeing repeat customers returning with positive feedback.
Tell us about your own favourite or best-selling product. How much work goes into creating it, why do you think this is your strongest product?
Our most popular product is our pistachio flavoured baklava. We use only the best quality locally sourced ingredients to create this rich and mouth watering dessert, freshly made at home with love.
What is your favourite Frome shop, or stall to visit at The Frome Independent?
This is such a difficult question to answer because all the traders are so fantastic! Every time we come we return home with a new batch of delicious delicacies! BUT I’m a sucker for a scrummy pie From Ben’s Kitchen.
And finally, some quick fire questions….
