The Frome Independent is an outdoor, monthly street market. the event spans the whole of Frome town centre and attracts footfall of around 80,000 per year.
We host over 200 traders each month across 6 sections; designer-maker; flea market; homes and gardens; street food; food producer and suitcase traders. Competition for pitches is very high, we are always on the lookout for talented traders from across the South West. To get an idea of the market, we request that you come for a visit BEFORE you apply.

Market Makers
Market Makers is a membership scheme for our visitors. Visitors purchase a membership card which gives them access to exclusive offers and discounts from our traders and participating Frome shops for the year ahead.
We ask that all traders make a discount to our Market Makers. This discount can be for any amount that you choose and does not have to cover all of your product range, but can only be available to Market Makers. If you have any questions or need guidance, please email us on admin@thefromeindependent.org.
The Frome Independent is a not for profit social enterprise that does not receive ongoing subsidies from the local councils, or outside corporate sponsorship. We therefore rely on money raised through the Market Makers scheme to fund our free market day activities such as live music, children’s activities and street performance.
